摘要

The reiterative disruption of respiratory activity results on sleep fragmentation. The immediately consequences of the syndrome are fatigue and drowsiness, and on the long term, cardiovascular illnesses. The diagnosis of these sleep respiratory disorders is carried out through the analysis of the patient's polysomnogram, which consists on the simultaneously recording of his physiological variables during several hours of sleep. In this work, a modular system based on Artificial Intelligence techniques is proposed for analysing the respiratory signals with the intention of detecting apneic events and correlating this information with the hypnogram or patient sleep map.
