As much our efforts to analyse both processes will be objective, we can't hide from the fact that the demarcation line between choosing one in favour of the other process/ machine is not crystal clear. For some castings both processes will be suitable as far as technology is concerned, however economy may differ and may in some cases only be marginally. Keeping in mind the general squeezed profitability in the foundry business, those marginals may count too.
