摘要

The paper expatiates comprehensively on the erosion mechanism of soil slopes and how it endangers the long distance pipeline, introduces GEG, a product made by combination of some geo-technical synthesized material and vegetation technique to overcome the defects existing in the traditional measures for preventing slop erosion, and briefs its performan ces. Meanwhile, the authors also explain how to decide whether it is necessary or not to use such technique in the water upward slope and water downward slope. In order to demonstrate further the advantages of such technique, herein are compared the economic and technical indexes of the various protective forms of slopes, presenting the effect pictures of its actual application to a number of long distance pipelines.
