This article is about a study glass window with film of different types in aspect of thermal comfort and heat transmission. Through a case study, this paper depicts that potential amount of energy can be saved in a commercial building through the proper selection of window glass as per LEED guideline. Calibrated simulation model of a building has been created using the real data gathered during energy audit to estimate the energy saving potential through the implementation of LEED supported window glass. The subject facility is a medical centre, located in Kolkata, India. e-Quest, an energy simulation software is used to simulate the energy performance of the facility. The detailed energy simulation compare various single glazed and double glazed normal and LEED supported window glazing glass available in India and thereby recommend the single glazed and double glazed window for optimum reduction of energy consumption for cooling load in building.
