Pumping Machines and Mechanisms as Part of Mining Technology in Central Europe Within 18th Century

Pumping deep waters from mines presented very serious technical problem of mining in this region. Paper deals with water pumping machines have been developed within first half of 18th century. History and development of this kind of machines are briefly described. It includes description of "most popular" pumping machines, with technical parameters as well as pictures of original drawings made by authors.
