摘要

Planetary gear trains (PGTs) are transmission systems of high kinematic complexity and difficult visualization. However, their advantages are many: they are compact, light, allow high speed reductions, and multiple transmission ratios. Due to their constant engagement, bifurcating capacity and power addition they are considered highly reliable. One of their main applications is the automatic transmission or power trains of passenger cars. Some modern automatic transmission boxes used by the automotive industries apply 2, 3 or 4 linked PGTs to obtain the gear ratios. This article presents a software developed to help automatic transmissions designing. Because of the versatility and friendly of the software, it is possible to obtain different PGTs configurations that satisfy the sought transmission gear ratios.
