摘要

Ti-451(Ti-4.5Al-5Mo-1.5Cr) belongs to double phase titanium alloy with high strength, high toughness, good elastic modulus, formability and super plasticity. Its hot processing, microstructures and forming technology were investigated in this work. Its hot forming parameters, i.e.σ_(0.2)/σ_b , γ, and σ_(0.2)/E were measured. It is found that Ti-451 alloy with equiaxed microstructure has better hot formability and mechanical properties than those of Ti-6-4 alloy. After proper hot forming and aging treatment, the barrel of Ti-451 alloy with super-high strength can be manufactured.
