Development of timber framed structures in Germany from 1900 - 2004

摘要

The developments of timber house constructions in Germany from 1900 - 2004 is described. Also the results of a research project regarding the development of building-physical properties of timber frame structures are given from 1965 until 2003. Within this project the fire-, moisture-, noise-energy- and wood-protection was evaluated and it was shown, that the quality of timber framed structures increased generally. The research work was initiated to define objective resale values and to improve the of timber buildings respectively to solid buildings. This is important because the evaluation of mortgage values is directly associated with the recoverability of buildings in the area of mortgages. The research has shown that there are no reasons to discriminate timber frame houses against massive constructions
