ITS-based Chinese Adaptive Traffic Control Systemand Its Application

摘要

Traffic congestion becomes more and more severely in Chinese cities and it affects people'slife quality. Development of an advanced traffic control system is an efficient way to reducetravel time and improve people's life quality. Because of irregular road network and mixedtraffic flow, traffic control systems introduced from foreign countries don't adapt to Chinesecircumstance well. TJATCMS is developed according to Chinese traffic conditions based onITS technology. This paper introduces the development of the system with its kerneltechnology and its application to a real network.
