THE ARKTRANS MULTIMODAL ROUTE ANDTRAVEL INFORMATION

The project aiming at building ARKTRANS, the Norwegian system framework architecturefor multimodal freight and passenger transport, has a work group on multimodal route andtravel information that will arrange for improvement and reconditioning of route and travelinformation services. Such services are crucial considering the addressed need for increaseduse of public transport. ARKTRANS will provide specifications for acquisition and exchangeof the route and travel information that are harmonised across all transport modes.
