Norwegian developing of multimodal cooperation onITS between authorities, research and industries

The Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications coordinates the national planfor transport on road, rail, sea, and in the air. Based on this plan and the GovernmentalIT strategy, the Ministry has developed a strategy on the use of Information andCommunication Technology (ICT) in the transport sector. This processes contributed toa fruitful multimodal coordination of ITS, between transport authorities, researchinstitutions and industries. To improve transport, it has gradually been developed anintegrated vertical, horizontal, multimodal network on ITS.
