DESIGNING THE EVALUATION FUNCTION FOR ON-DEMAND BUS SYSTEM

The introduction of the On-demand Bus is promoted in various places such as the rural town,the city, the hospital and so on. The On-demand Bus system developed by University ofTokyo, calculates efficient route plan in a few micro second and confirms reservation withuser. This system has been introduced at more than 30 cities. Through field experiment, itbecomes clear that the each client has unique locality and needs. To satisfy the peculiar needs,the evaluation of the route and its parameter could be the key. In this paper, the evaluationfunctions for various needs are implemented to On-demand Bus system. By tuning theparameters of the evaluation function, the system is verified if the route could adapt thevarious needs. As a result, by tuning the parameter the calculated route succeeded tocharacterize the route.
