High Speed Rail Grinding for High Speed Rail

摘要

Rail grinding is a key part of the track maintenance program of high speed rail with its ability to control the surface condition of the rails, remove corrugations and delay their regrowth, and control the interaction between the wheel and the rail to reduce dynamic forces and associated problems. The emergence of a new generation of rail grinding trains with high speed rail grinding capabilities, able to maintain and profile the rail in a single high speed pass in the range of 20 to 24 + kph (12-14 + mph) , allows for faster grinding and shorter work windows, making it more appropriate for maintenance of high speed rail systems.
