The paper gives an overview on possibilities for avoiding negative impacts on the process material by the processes preceding and following the straightening operation. Easy-to-use and innovative solutions are presented for processes like uncoiling, and information about the latest developments in the field of material parameters relating to the processes in the wire industry is also given.
