Zipf's Law and Nuclear Multifragmentation

摘要

We are studying nuclear multifragmentation close to the critical point with the help of percolation theory. The resulting distribution of the average size of the largest cluster is described by the Zipf-Mandelbrot distribution. We discuss what physical insight can be gained from these frequency distributions.
