A WEB AUTHENTICATION SYSTEM USING LOCATION INFORMATION FROM MOBILE TELEPHONES

Currently, the authentication process for personal informationrno n e -le a rn in g w eb s ite s a llow s an im p o s te r tornaccess someone's account. It has always been difficultrnto verify whether the person logging into an account isrnactually that person. Normally, only a username and passwordrnis required, allowing multiple users to utilize thernsame account either willingly, as is the case with spoofing,rnor unwillingly, as is the case with usernamernmisappropriation.rnWe have suggested an authentication method using arnmobile telephone, which makes it more difficult to accessrnan account falsely. Using a mobile telephone in this wayrnallows access to that phone's subscriber ID; inrncombination with the username, password, and the timernstamp from the mobile phone, it provides a more accuraternidentification process. Also, in using base station locationrn(or if available, GPS), even more information can bernverified.rnIn this study, we propose a method to acquire userrnlocation information from his or her mobile phone, so thatrnit can be used as another requirement in positive identityrnverification.
