The paper discusses the teletraffic performance of cellularntopologies employing dynamic cell sectoring and beam steering. Resultsnare compared with those obtained when omni-directional antenna patternsnare used in base stations. The simulation scenario assumes a TDMA mobilenradio system employing dynamic channel assignment. Simulation resultsnshow that the performance of a dynamic cell sectoring is better than annomni-directional base station system. The C/I distribution at a mobilenfor different antenna minimum 3-dB beamwidth, direction of arrivalnerror, the effect of beam updating time and power control constitute thenaspects studied
