In the IMT2000 DS-CDMA scheme, space time block coding-basedntransmit antenna diversity (STTD) is adopted as an anti-fadingntechnique. We discuss the mathematical model of the STTD, and deduce annoptimum demodulation algorithm for practical implementation. We analyzenthe performance of the optimum demodulator. Our scheme based on thisnmodel is easy to implement and has a good performance
