The effect of load tap changer (LTC) action on a transformer'snadjusted side voltage (usually the secondary side of step-downntransformers) is evaluated when the tap position on LTC is raisedn(lowered) to increase (decrease) the adjusted side voltage. The effectsnof other measures such as series and shunt compensation and theirncombination with LTCs are also evaluated. A static representation modelnof a power system model on a large populated industrial center such asnthe Puget Sound area of Bonneville Power Administration and the Bostonnarea of New England Power Service are evaluated. The characterization ofnreactive power voltage (Q-V) relation and real powernvoltage (P-V) relation curves during a voltagendegradation process is studied. The results and experience gained fromnsystem specific applications are enumerated
