High-frame rate multiport CCD imager and camera

Abstract: A high frame rate visible CCD camera capable of operation up to 200 frames per second is described. The camera produces a 256 $MUL 256 pixel image by using one quadrant of a 512 $MUL 512 16-port, back illuminated CCD imager. Four contiguous outputs are digitally reformatted into a correct, 256 $MUL 256 image. This paper details the architecture and timing used for the CCD drive circuits, analog processing, and the digital reformatter. !2
