摘要

In the frame of the rehabilitation works carried out at the Montsalvens dam in Switzerland, the outflow capacity had to be increased from 150 to 346 m~3/s. This condition could be satisfied by the installation of four 5.05 m high Hydroplus fuse gates on the left bank spillway. Hydraulic model tests were performed which allowed to improve and to optimize the technical solution. The civil works were carried out from May 1997 to December 1998. A particular attention was put to the gates fabrication and to the base planarity in order to avoid any blockage during tilting.
