This paper deals with finite element analysis of the tube hydroforming process for the exhaust tail pipe part of a vehicle.FE analysis were carried out for and hydroforming process using the explicit code Pam-stamp 2G.The study focuses on the development of a proper loading path for hydroforming process and how the bending operation influences the hydroforming result.The FE analysis results were also compared with experimental results.The study shows the importance of the bending operation and that it is necessary to take it into account when performing hydroforming.
