This paper describes the geostatistical analysis applied to both core and log data of the "O Limestone" to determine the petrophysical variables affecting productivity from this complex, fractured calcareous reservoir in the Maporal Field, Western Venezuela. the production history of the wells was also statistically analyzed in order to perform correlations with the interpreted petrophysical variables. Oil production has been found to be facies and diagenesis controlled, therefore, due to the fact that core data was scarce, a two-step approach was developed. First, core description and their corresponding analysis in three wells were used to characterize the four main flow units of the "O Limestone". Then, correlations with log parameters were established in order to extend the classification to wells for which only log data were available. Primary intercrystalline porosity is below 7
