New hardware and interpretation methods are introduced that are designed specifically for production logging and inflow profiling in multiphase horizontal or deviated wells. The new method is intended to allow the measurement of three phase flow rates in any flow regime, watercut, and gas volume fraction. The new production logging instrumentation utioises arrays of capacitance sensors to make across-the-borehole measurements of liquid level, hold up, and phase velocities while simultaneously making average borehole measurements of pressure, temperature, diameter and noise. Newly developed downhole flow modelling software helps pre-job planning and post-job evaluation of data consistency. Flow loop data shows the resulting accuracy of the phase flow rate measurements to be approximately 20
