Normal and deteriorated heat transferrnregimes of CO at supercritical pressure werernidentified after examining data from COrnupward flow in an 8-mm-tube. The correlationsrnderived using CO data only were applied tornwater heat transfer at supercritical conditions. Itrnwas found that the proposed correlations predictrnthe local heat transfer of water reasonably well.rnThe accuracy of the correlations is affected byrnexperimental uncertainties and limitedrnparameter ranges of the data used as well as thernassumed correlation function. Further work isrnrequired to test the validity of the proposedrncorrelations for different geometries andrnconditions.
