Designing a Gas Test Loop for the Advanced Test Reactor

Preliminary analysis indicates that the initial conceptrnof modifying one lobe in the ATR to produce a simulatedrnfast reactor spectrum is feasible. In order to achieve therntechnical requirements for future research, however, thernanalysis also shows that booster fuel is needed. Furtherrndevelopment work on the fuel and detailed design work isrncontinuing.
