Membrane distillation (MD) is promising for thernseparation of the light isotopes such as oxygen andrnhydrogen isotopes contained in water, because of itsrnprocedural and economic advantages over thernconventional fractional water distillation [, ]. However,rnapplication of MD to cascading production system is notrnrealized yet partly due to small permeation flux of thernprocess. In this investigation, we developed the systemrnwith higher permeation flux of water vapor using AGMDrn(Air Gap Membrane Distillation) combined with DCMDrn(Direct Contact Membrane Distillation) while the isotopernselectivity was maintained at the same.
