In the paper,two kinds of titanium coatings were prepared yb the recently developed High Velocity Air Arc Spraying System,one is air atomized,the other is nitrogen atomized.Microstructure,Microstructre,phase compositions,adhesion strengths and micro-hardnesses of the coatings were investigated.Experiment results show that the coatings adhere well with the substrates,and the porosity is a little high.The coatings are composed of Ti.TiO and TiN.Average micro-hardness of air atomized coatings reaches 770 HV_0.2.
