摘要

In the buckling analysis of composite plates, the classical thin plate theory was mainly used for its analytical simplicity without consideration of out-plane shear deformation. However, the recent researches verified that this ignorance had caused a great difference of analytical results because the effects of transverse shear deformation were neglected. The deflections were underestimated, while the natural frequencies and buckling loads were overestimated. To consider this difference, several shear-deformation theories have been proposed, and in this paper, a higher-order shear deformation plate theory was used.
