Shaking Table Tests of a Passive Controlled Tank Mock-up

In this paper an experimental campaign on a scaled cylindrical steel tank mock-up, equipped with rubber bearing isolation system and elasto-palstic energy dissipation device, is presented. These tests, which have been carried out using the large shaking table system at the ENEA laboratories of the R.C. Casaccia (Rome), have shown the performances of the passive control systems in the reduction of the tank response to seismic excitations.
