In this paper the electromagnetic fields of a prolate sphero-dial are calcualted for a symmetric current injection at the north and south pole. Considering the direct current (dc) case this can be done by expanding the coundary condition into eigenfunctions of the equation (separation of variables). THe resistance and the internal inductance of the prolate spherodial could be evaluated by the calculated fields. Inthe alternating current (ac) case the separtion leads to strong numerical problems. Hence a formula is derived which needs only a basis of L~2 solutions of the PDE to expand the boudnary conditions. The solutions of the similar spherical problems re transformed into the spherodical system and the formula is applied.
