Based on rigorous thermodynamic model, an equilibrium stage model is developed to simulate CO_2 stripper. Several strategies are proposed in order to improve the convergence of the algorithm. Because of high nonlinear and strong non-ideal features of this system, a multilayer iterative algorithm is used. Also, a random method to get initial values in the feasible region is used to get better initial values. With these strategies, the algorithm has features of stability and reliability. In addition, the calculated results are in good agreement with design values and running plant data.
