History and Current Status of Agricultural Scientech Information Network System in China

摘要

The Scientech Documentation and Information Center (SDIC) of CAAS was established in 1987. The main tasks of the Center are: systematically collecting, processing, conservation and transferring various agricultural scientech documents and information both at home and abroad; conducting information searching, translation and consultation service; editing and publishing scientech journals; transferring and extension of agricultural research findings and technical information; establishing agricultural information database and computer network; conducting research on computer application in agriculture; analyzing and forecasting of macro development of food and agriculture as well as research levels and development trend of agricultural science and technology at abroad. The paper gives an introduction of the networ k construction and development in these recent years.
