Homophonic Theory of Truth for Tense Logic

This paper concerns homophonic theories of truth, in the sense of Donald Davidson, for modal and tense logics. Earlier works on this subject have left open the following question: How weak can a modal or tense logic be if it has to permit the existence of a homophonic theory of truth? In this paper we shall show that an answer to the question can be given if attention is restricted to theories of truth which satisfy a very natural further condition.
