In this work, an application of "browsing by coherence"rnis presented. An interferometric pair of single-lookrncomplex (SLC) ERS-1/2 Tandem images is multi-lookrnprocessed and the resulting real-valued images arernfurther compressed through a hierarchical method tornyield quick-looks that may be browsed at different spatialrnresolutions, I.e. number of looks. Pairs of quick-lookrnicons are utilized to estimate coherence by means ofrna new method based on measurements of temporalrncorrelation of speckle. The outcome maps are comparedrnwith spatially degraded versions of the coherence maprncalculated from the original SLC data. Experimentsrnare aimed at showing that the method yields steadyrnresults varying with the number of looks of icons that arernbrowsed.
