Path Selection With Protection For Existing Telecommunication Networks With Pre-Specified Alternative Paths

This paper models a network selection problem where alternative paths between traffic demand points are known in advance. The Mixed Integer Programming model presented in this paper selects two disjoint string paths for each traffic demand between pairs of demand nodes. One string path is the primary route, and the other string path is the secondary route.
