MOBILE SYSTEM FOR DETECTING AND DIAGNOSING HEART DISEASES

Heart diseases are a typical cause of death all over thernworld, providing the user with a novel, low cost, mobile device,rncapable of warning the user and medical attendant inrncase of a medical emergency to prevent a critical situation,rnis the ultimate motivation of this investigation. The mainrncontribution of this work is the design and implementationrnof an intelligent mobile system for detecting and diagnosingrnheart diseases.rnThe proposed system is based on a client / server approach.rnThe user is provided with a 3G Smartphone. Thernclient is continuously monitoring the ECG signal via Bluetoothrnfrom a device attached to the user’s body. In thernserver side, a web based MATLAB server program is performingrnall the advanced analysis regarding the use of ArtificialrnNeural Networks for detecting and diagnosing heartrndiseases. If necessary, an alert is generated, otherwise, allrnthe patient records are stored on a database. As a supervisionrnmethod, ISSEMYM medical staff is attending thernserver alerts if needed. A collaborative medical diagnosisrnsite has been developed for registered medical users.
