摘要

Hollow silica microspheres (HSM), as efficient drug delivery carriers, were successfully prepared via a facile water-in-oil emulsion method using water glass precursor. The kinetics of drug release in aqueous medium was simulated using water-soluble erythrosine. Hollow silica microspheres show intensive release of active component at the beginning stages of introduction into aqueous (organism-imitating) conditions. Release rate of the model compound decreased and desorp-tion time increased in the follow range: hollow silica microspheres > porous silica microparticles > silica nanoparticles.
