The Use of Metallocene Polyethylene in Coextruded Lamination Films

Adhesive lamination is used to combine different substrates, such as OPET, Al foil, PE film, into multi-layer structures to achieve a range of end-use performance requirements. These end-use requirements typically include package integrity, barrier, and package appearance. In most cases the laminate's sealant layer is polyethylene-based and coextrusions are increasingly being utilized to most efficiently meet the target performance criteria.rnA recent blown film study demonstrated that metallocene polyethylenes provide significant value when properly employed in coextruded lamination films.
