The design of extrusion coating tooling continues to evolve over time. As a result, design features that are unique to this industry have been developed to address specific needs, such as: convenient coating width adjustment, reduced overcoat requirement, and rapid achievement of coat weight precision for a wide variety of coating materials. Key extrusion die and coextrusion feedblock technology will be reviewed.
