The Self-Orgnaizing System of OCgnitive Structures

摘要

The aim of this paper is explain th development of cognitive structures by appealing to a fundamental process of equilibration whichis the essential idea of system science .Here equilibratin will refer to a process that leads from a state near equilibrium to a qualitatively defferent stte at equilibrium by way fo mulitiple disequilibria and reequilibrations. it must be stressed from the start that reequlibration often amounts to nothing more than returnign to previous states of equilibrium without creating new equilibrated frms. By contrast, the reequilibrations most fundamental to development result in equilobria that not only are new but are also better than the previous equilibria. I shall later speak, therefore, of "optimzing equilibrations" and of self-regrlation.
