THe end of the cold war which has been fought between the two ideological camps forthe last half century has brought a number of visible changes in the international politics and the regional politics of asia as well. Compared with European international politics whihc has iwtnessed dramatic changes such as the collapwse of the communist bloc, the fall of socialism, the end of europen divison, and the unification of germany, the cold war structureof asian international politics has shown a few number of changes in spite of its more limited scope and slower speed. Asian ocuntries ahve indeed shown numerous efforts in search of a new asian order to replace the old cold war order.
