A quick method of calculation the Shannon performance of twisted pair channel of “long” Ethernet

The Shannon performance express-evaluation algorithm is considered on the assumption that network interfaces Fast Ethernet signal transmission cable channel is constructed on electrically conductive symmetrical hardware components: twisted pair cable and modular connector (IEC 60603-7-2 or similar). The method applies to cable channel constructed using a direct connection scheme is demanded when developing promising information systems based on IP-equipment to connect single remote terminal devices to the information system.
