摘要

Equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) is a processing technique capable of producing materials with ultrafine grain sizes. Microhardness tests were conducted to investigate the homogeneity of samples of pure aluminum subjected to ECAP through two different processing routes. The results show the samples achieve homogeneity throughout most of their volume after a single pressing and the homogeneity is further improved with increasing numbers of passes through the ECAP die.
