摘要

BD-ST-2-VP latex (VPL) is a kind of terpolymer emulsion prepared by emulsion polymerization of butadiene (BD), sty-rene (ST) and 2-vinyl pyridine (2-VP). It is used widely for impregnation of fabric cord, tire fabric—framework material of tire, rubber belt, and rubber hose for it is a kind of excellent adhesive for fiber and rubber because of high polarity of 2-VP. In this paper, polymerization process of BD-ST-2-VP latex was investigated in detail through tracing the change of polymerization process parameter, such as monomer conversion, polymerization rate, reactor pressure and emulsion parameter including pH value, emulsion viscosity, surface tension, emulsi-fier adsorption ratio of latex particles, latex particle diameter and so on along with polymerization time, and polymerization rules of BD-ST-2-VP latex were analyzed and summarized. This provided sufficient foundation for the accurate control of industrialization production process of BD-ST-2-VP latex.
