Hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (HNBR) was prepared by Rh-Ru bimetallic complex catalyst. The products was analyzed by NMR, IR spectra and Bromo-Iodimetry. It is confirmed that C=C double bonds in NBR macromolecules were hydrogen-ated and -CN was not changed. Glass transition temperature was measured by DSC. It is shown that T_g data value of the hydrogenated nitrile-butadiene rubber with acylonitrile content of 33% decreases with the extent of hydrogenation at the initial point and then slowly increases to the value of the starting polymer when the degree of hydrogenation is over 90%. Compounding was prepared based on HNBR with the hydrogenation of 95%.Vulcanizates with balanced performances, that is, Shore A hardness 73, tensile strength 25 MPa, elongation at break 195%, compression set 17%(150℃ x 72 h) were obtained.
