摘要

We present the results of a detectability study of low amplitude "long period" (typically several years) dynamical perturbations of the close hierarchical triple stellar systems using Eddington data. We concentrate mainly on triple systems containing an eclipsing binary pair. These perturbations are mostly unobservable from the ground due to the very limited observational time interval and accuracy. We show in the present paper that this effect - if present in a specific system - must be taken into account for very precise light curve solutions and consequently may affect asteroseismic studies at the 10~(-4) mag level. Furthermore, the detection of the above-mentioned effects also gives extra benefits, e.g. it may provide information on the spatial orientation of the systems, and accurate masses of the components.
