Performance of an optoelectronic probe used with coordinate measuring machines

Abstract: Coordinate measuring machines are as accurate as the probes used to trigger them for measurements. The errors which are introduced by probes into dimensional measurements are usually not known to everyday users. Here a comparison of results between a touch- trigger probe and an optoelectronic probe is presented. !3
