In the Eastern Venezuela, Anaco area, there are about 50rnmature fields of condensates and light oil which still havernreserves ranging between 50 and 300 million barrels.rnHowever, a good portion of the remaining reserves are stillrntrapped due to inefficient drainage and production declination.rnThis paper presents an analysis method to increase andrnaccelerate production as well as recover additional reservesrnbased on the detection of communication between pay sands.rnThe study have been made in the Santa Rosa Field, which isrnone of the most important mature volatile oil field in thernEastern Venezuela Basin, with remaining reserves of 321rnMMBLS and 4851 BCF . The integration of oil compositionalrndata, gas chromatography and fingerprinting analysis of oils, rnas well as, pvt data with pressure, well test, production datarnand geological information have contributed to identifyrnreservoir continuity. The identification of four oil family typesrninto the field was achieved through Geochemistry analysis.rnWells correlation reveals significant stratigraphic coalescence, rnand integration of these results with production and pressurerndata permitted to identify four hydraulic flow units.rnThe results of this study helped to understand the vertical andrnlateral connectivity of the sand bodies and aided in therndistinction of areas in the field with the best infill drillingrnpotential, both of which have contributed to optimize wellrnlocation, recompletion works, and also improved the accuracyrnof the production performance predicted.
