摘要

The paper presents the operational experience on some PV stand-alone systems installed in remote places in Romania in the frame of a Demo Project financed by the European Commission and the way the installed systems answered the needs and improved the life quality of the people living in isolated areas. The perspectives of a new market for clean and environmental friendly energy sources - PV/Hybrid - for social and touristic objectives are also presented. The importance of a Demo Project successfully implemented is assessed, together with some prospects for a potential market of RES in Romania.
